2.Jamaica- Approximately 3 hours non-stop from Charlotte to Montego Bay Jamaica.  This beautiful island offers 3 unique and different settings to choose from:

Montego Bay(Where you will fly into) allowing you to be on the beach an hour after your plane lands.

Ocho Rios (approximately 1.5 hours from Montego Bay) offers a more lush/tropical setting with a hilly terrain, coved beaches and Dunn's River Falls.

Negril (approximately 2 hours from Montego Bay) is known for its 7 mile beach and gorgeous sunsets.  Water sports abound in Jamaica.

8.Disney World/Universal Studios, Florida-- For the active couple who are young at heart and want to stay a little closer to home, Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Florida offer the best of both worlds.  You can play by day at the many park attractions or spend the day by the pool at one of the gorgeous resorts.  Downtown Disney offers fun nightlife or enjoy a romantic dinner at one of the many restaurants.  Approximate travel time by car is 6 hours from Columbia.

6.Costa Rica- Known as the land of eternal sunshine.  This country has something that appeals to every kind of person whether you are looking for adventure in the jungle or relaxation on beautiful white sand beaches.  Near the capital city of San Jose, honeymooners can spend several days enjoying the beauty of volcanoes, rain forests, hot springs, wildlife reserves, whitewater rafting, and boat cruising.  Couple this with a few days down on the west coast, known for fishing, surfing, golf, the beach, and all-inclusive resorts makes for a nice mix of action and tranquility.  

5.Antigua--Antigua offers historic site, tasty cuisine, and a lively cultural scene.  Whether you're looking to party in the sand, or explore the ocean deep, Antigua has something to offer you.  It has fantastic reefs and wrecks for diving and snorkeling and some of the lovliest beaches in the Caribbean (365 to be exact).  Approximate travel time is 7 hours.

4.St. Lucia​--St. Lucia stands apart from the other Caribbean islands because of its varied landscapes and diverse cuisine which has Caribbean, African, Indian, British, Spanish, and French influences.  Go snorkeling in the refreshing Caribbean Sea, hike to the top of the Gros Piton peak, participate in a wide range of water sports available at the St. Lucia Resort.  Relax on the white sands of a pristine beach, or attend one of St. Lucia's music or cultural festivals.  Approximate travel time to St. Lucia is 6 hours.

3.Punta Cana-Dominican Republic-Approximately 3 hours non-stop from Charlotte, Punta Cana is the epitome of the word "tropical."  This laid back island offers beautiful beaches, huge/gorgeous palm trees and crystal clear water.  With not much infrastructure (towns to visit and shopping), Punta Cana is a great place to soak up the sun, relax and enjoy the water.  Some of the larger resorts have casinos.


-Riviera Maya Approximately 3 hours non-stop from Charlotte to Cancun and 45 minutes to 1 hour drive and you are in the wonderful Riviera Maya.  This popular honeymoon destination offers a multitude of activities both on and off the crystal clear water (zip-line, cave snorkeling, swim with the dolphins, ATV tours, horseback riding on the beach, cultural sites such as the Mayan Ruins and much more).  Shopping and nightlife abound in the charming town of Playa del Carmen which is the hub of this beautiful beachfront area.  The Riviera Maya boasts some of the nicest adults only all- inclusive resorts in the Caribbean offered at a great value.

-Los Cabo (aka "Cabo")-​Where fun, adventure, and romance come together to celebrate mother nature.  Cabo San Lucas has first-rate hotels, restaurants, retail stores, and night clubs.  It has a port that receives cruise ships and yachts from around the world.  San Jose del Cabo is a colonial Mexican town.  Its main attraction is its square in front of the church of St. Joseph where tourists can enjoy concerts, dances, and handicraft sales.  Restaurants, hotels, stores, and art galleries enliven this beautiful town.  Cabo provides activities for everyone: fishing, golf, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, horseback riding, dancing, and relaxing in luxury spas and resorts.
